Stisted has its own playing field in the centre of the village with access on foot from The Street or driveway for vehicles from Kings Lane. There are several pieces of adult gym equipment, a basketball hoop and table tennis table and well as a multigym and swings for younger children. Dogs on lead are welcome to walk on the field (but please put dog poo in the dog bins). There is the Owen Harrington Sports Pavilion at the end of the field.
There is direct access via a gate at the rear onto the footpath around the edge of the golf course.
The field is inspected weekly for safety
In 2025 the Parish council have started a project to improve the Playing Field and a working group has been set up to look at a possible replacement for the children’s multigym, electricity and water/sewerage for the Pavilion. There will be a Village Event on the field later in summer – the first one for several years
If you have any comments about the things you would like to see in the future for our playing field, or wish to join the working group, please contact the clerk on clerk@stisted-pc.gov.uk. We would love to hear from you
If you would like to book the field for an event or exercise classes, please contact the clerk on clerk@stisted-pc.gov.uk
